Robert B. Mazur

Robert B. Mazur is of counsel at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in the Litigation Department after 28 years as a partner.  His practice focuses on complex litigation, including government, stock and commodities exchange investigations and securities litigation.

Mr. Mazur graduated with a B.A. from Yale University in 1970.  He received a J.D. from the Columbia University Law School in 1973, where he was a member of the Columbia Law Review and served as a notes and comment editor.

Mr. Mazur joined the firm in 1973.  From 1976 to 1979, he served as an assistant United States attorney in the Office of the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York.  Mr. Mazur is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Courts of Appeals for the First, Second, Third, Fifth and Ninth Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Board of Visitors of Columbia Law School, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
